Event Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply between the registrant(s) as specified on the registration and Commodities People.
The term ‘Commodities People’ or ‘CP’, ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is Commodities People Ltd, Kemp House, 160 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX with company number 11055921
By submitting your registration, you agree to be bound by the following terms.
Cancellation Policy for paid passes
It is possible to transfer your place to a colleague or client if you are unable to attend. You must inform the customer services team of this change in writing prior to the event. However, your personal registration cannot be shared with other individuals during the event.
Cancellations received in writing more than 7 days before the event will receive a full credit voucher. Credit vouchers cannot be issued for cancellations made less than 7 days before the event. Credit vouchers may be used for payment towards any future CP event within the next 18 months.
Upon confirming their registration the customer commits to make payment in full. If the customer wishes to make a cancellation before payment has been made, the customer is still obliged to make payment in full, and will in turn receive a credit voucher of the equivalent price which will be applicable for 18 months for any CP event, online or in person
CP will make every reasonable effort to adhere to the event package, but reserves the right to change date, format, location, content, speakers or topics if necessary. Any communication concerning the event shall not form part of the contract. If the event is cancelled for any reason the client shall receive a full credit voucher for any registration payment made.
Method of Payment
Full payment is required within 5 days of making a booking.
Contracted amount must be received by CP – any withholding tax or any other taxes are to be borne by the customer.
Only one discount at a time can be applied to your conference registration fee.
CP shall have no liability whatsoever for any indirect costs or expenses or any consequential losses howsoever incurred by the customer in any circumstances including for example, loss of profits, lost revenues, lost business opportunity, lost goodwill.
CP acts as an organiser and co-ordinator of the event and will sub-contract all presentation duties and all course materials and accepts no liability for the acts or commissions of its sub-contractors or for any aspect of the information, views or data presented at any event.
Online events will be hosted using a variety of online event technology. CP will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that such platforms are suitable and appropriate for such events but shall have no liability for virus’s, inconvenience, loss, damage, or any other difficulty or loss at such event where this is beyond the reasonable control of CP.
Force majeure. Under no circumstances shall CP have any liability for any act, loss, damage, expense, mistake, omission or event which is outside its reasonable control.
Severability. If any term is held to be invalid or unenforceable then that shall not prevent the remainder of this agreement from remaining valid.
Governing law. This agreement shall be governed by the courts of England and Wales.
